La Costa Estates is a community in Carlsbad, California known for its large luxury homes. Many of these estates have panoramic views of the golf course at the La Costa Resort.
The first homes in La Costa Estate were built in the late 1960s and reflect architectural styles like Spanish, Mediterranean, Contemporary, and Tudor. Some of the estates are situated on more than an acre of property. Many have ornamental gated entrances as well as garages for multiple cars. Residents do not have any Home Owners Association dues or Mello Roos tax.
This community is served by the San Marcos Unified School District which provides highly rated facilities like La Costa Meadows Elementary, San Elijo Middle School, and San Marcos High School. There are several private schools like Halstrom Academy, Sanderling Waldorf School, and St. Patrick’s Catholic School. There are also higher learning facilities nearby such as MiraCosta College and Palomar College.
There are many shopping centers like Carlsbad Premium Outlets, Village Faire, and The Shoppes at Carlsbad. The beaches are within minutes and there are several golf courses in this city. Residents are minutes away from the La Costa Resort and Spa which features two Dick Wilson signature golf courses. This is the home of 37 PGA events. The resort offers a fitness club, swimming pools, and full service spa among many other amenities. The Palomar Carlsbad Airport is also close by.
There are many things to do in Carlsbad which is known as “The Village by the Sea.” Tourists come here to visit Legoland California Resort, Sea Life Aquarium, South Carlsbad State Beach campgrounds, and the Museum of Making Noise. There are many corporate homes here including Hay House, Cobra Golf, Atticus Clothing, Rockstar San Diego, and Upper Deck.
